Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds Debut Trailer, Press Release, Producer Interview
We’ve read the rumors and now the announcement has been made official. We are indeed getting Marvel vs. Capcom 3 after about a decade of waiting. It’s bound for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, as can be expected.
Here is the debut trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds:
This is effectively just a teaser trailer, because it doesn’t seem to show anything in terms of actual gameplay. We do learn several things from it, however. For starters, the art style will likely be very similar to Street Fighter IV, based on the “ink blot” splashes that we see during the brief fight scenes. You’ll also notice that Chris Redfield of Resident Evil fame makes an appearance near the end, joining the Capcom team alongside Resident Evil stablemate Jill Valentine. As expected, mainstays like Ryu, Wolverine, Morrigan, and Hulk return for MvC3.
So, what else can we learn? Here’s a brief breakdown from Shoryuken:

Want even more? Here’s an interview with Marvel vs Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma, conducted by Gametrailers:
So, we’ve got about another year worth of waiting to do. What characters do you want to see make an appearance in this highly anticipating fighting game? How about Human Torch, Pyro, Multiple Man, Invisible Woman, and a few characters from the Rival Schools franchise? That’s a good start.
UPDATE: Here are the first look at some in-game graphics for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. We don’t get the backgrounds, but this is actually how the characters are supposed to look while fighting in the game. Click through to see higher res versions of Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Wolverine, Hulk, and Iron Man.
UPDATE #2: Looking at the silhouettes in some of the promotional artwork, it seems we can make out some of the other characters. Capcom says they’ll have over 30 combatants in all and this artwork seems to point toward Felicia, Super Skrull, Captain America, Dr. Doom, Deadpool, Chun-Li, Dante, Frank West, Mephisto, and Trish. Deadpool would rock for sure and Frank West seems to make sense since he was “introduced” in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
All About Super Street Fighter IV (Part 2)

Three months ago, we presented our Super Street Fighter IV FAQ. Not surprisingly, a lot of new stuff has popped up since then. Let’s run through some of the details.
1. When’s the Release Date?
Early estimates had the Super Street Fighter IV launch on March 31, but the official release date has now been announced as April 27, 2010. This is for the Xbox 360 and PS3, both of which should be affordably priced. The PC version will probably come later.
2. Who Are the New Characters?
We’re hearing that there will be ten new characters in all, but we only know six of them for sure: Juri (Korean Tae Kwon Do girl), Deejay, T. Hawk, Guy, Cody, and Adon.

3. What Does the Box Art Look Like?
Like this, at least for the American Xbox 360 version. You get Juri, Ryu and Chun-Li across the top with Adon, Cammy, and Deejay lining the bottom. The Super Street Fighter IV logo goes in the center. The Japanese PS3 version looks better, don’t you think?

4. What Are Some of the New Features?
Each character will have a choice of three costumes, including a Mecha-Zangief, a Bison-inspired Cammy, and a blinged-out Balrog. Each character will also have two ultra moves instead of just one. You can watch this video for a look at some of these. The “smash the car” bonus stage is also making its return.

Of course I do! Check ‘em out.
Super Street Fighter IV FAQ: What We Know

Most fighting game fanatics were pretty freaking excited when Street Fighter IV hit the scene, so imagine how much more excited we’re getting about the upcoming release of Super Street Fighter IV from Capcom. Just as we got several upgraded versions of the previous Street Fighter games, Super Street Fighter IV is supposed to have everything from SFIV and plenty more.
So, what can we expect? Let’s break down what we know so far.
1. What is Super Street Fighter IV?
By all indications, this is much more of a substantial upgrade than the Street Fighter IV Championship Mode, since it is basically a pseudo-sequel in the same way that Super Street Fighter II drastically expanded on Street Fighter II.
2. What is the release date and price?
Initial reports pointed toward a “Spring 2010″ release for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, but more recent rumors seem to have a firmer date in place. Take it with a grain of salt, but Gamestop has Super Street Fighter IV slated for release on March 31 with a retail price of $40.
3. How many new characters are there? How many are returns and how many are brand new?
The current word is that the Super Street Fighter IV roster will have eight additional characters. It is still unclear how many of these will be brand new characters and how many of these are re-introductions from previous Street Fighter games. There is a distinct possibility that characters from Street Fighter Alpha or Street Fighter III will be making an appearance.
4. Who are the new characters?
The first original character is Juri. She is a Taekwondo expert from South Korea, representing the first Street Fighter character to ever come from that country. She seems to have some variation on the “Soul Power” of Rose or “Psycho Power” of M. Bison, though the exact details are sketchy. Juri also received a bust size change shortly after being announced. By all indications, Juri will not be the only original character introduced in SSFIV.

5. What characters are coming back?
As with Juri, the exact number of returning characters is still unclear. However, it has been confirmed that T. Hawk and Dee-Jay from Super Street Fighter II will be in Super Street Fighter IV. Since Cammy and Fei Long made the cut already, that completes the squad of four from SSFII.
6. Any major gameplay changes?
One of the bigger changes is that each character will have more than one Ultra Combo. Most characters, from what I can gather, will have two Ultra Combos of some kind. For example, Guile will probably end up with a Sonic Hurricane and some super form of the Flash Kick. Chances are that some of the special, EX, super, and ultra moves will be tweaked in some way or another too.
7. Will Super Street Fighter IV go to arcades first?
Seeing how the tentative console release is in March, I think it’s unlikely that we’ll see an arcade release of the game first, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. For now, Capcom says that it is undecided on the matter.
8. Anything else I should know?
Super Street Fighter IV is going to be awesome. If you liked Street Fighter IV and have grown accustomed to the new art style and gameplay elements, you’ll feel right at home. At least, I hope so. On a side note, Abel was a girl during development. How’s that for weird? You can also stay tuned to the official Street Fighter site for updates on SSFIV.
9. Videos please!
Okay, enjoy!
