Street Fighter X Tekken Scramble Mode Demo Video

Street Fighter X Tekken Scramble Mode Demo Video

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to take traditional fighting game characters and put them in the frantic style of Super Smash Bros., wonder no longer.

One of the crazier new game modes in Street Fighter X Tekken is called Scramble Mode. Rather than use the otherwise standard “tag” style configuration, this mode puts all four characters (two per team) on the screen at the same time. From what I can gather, the two team members share a single health bar and, yes, the gem system can come into play too.

I think this might be fun for casuals, but I’m not sure how well it’d hold up for hardcore tournament play. What do you think?

Street Fighter X Tekken Trailer Reveals Pac-Man and Mega Man?

Street Fighter X Tekken

When I first played Street Fighter X Tekken, I knew I was in for a treat. No wonder it’s going to make its way into EVO this year… but it turns out we have even more characters to enter the battling arena. We get the official unveilings of Juri, Vega (Claw) and Balrog (Boxer) from the Street Fighter side, as well as Law, Paul, and Xiaoyu from the Tekken side. But there’s more. We also get what appear to be obscured images of Akuma (Gouki), M. Bison (Dictator), Jin, and Ogre.

And then there’s even more!

If you look to the last five seconds of the video below, you’ll see SFxT on the new Sony PlayStation Vita. You’ll also notice two silhouettes on the PS Vita screen. The one on the left looks a heck of a lot like Pac-Man (from Namco, same guys as Tekken) and the one on the right looks like someone dressed as Mega Man. We can’t be sure it’s the Mega Man or if it’s some clever imposter, but that sure looks like it.

Are they Vita exclusives? Or part of the main build?

UPDATE: It’s official. They’re PS3 and PlayStation Vita exclusives, along with some other characters that are also exclusive to the Sony versions of Street Fighter X Tekken. Xbox owners screwed again. :(

AJ Plays Marvel vs. Capcom With His Feet Only

AJ Plays Marvel vs. Capcom With His Feet Only

Absolutely, playing Street Fighter with your face is quite the impressive feat, but you can use other parts of your body too. For example, AJ (“OnlyUseMeFeet” on YouTube) is able to play a variety of arcade games using his feet and that includes fighting games. The video below demonstrates some of these crazy skills. Skip ahead to about 1:54 for the Marvel Vs Capcom 2 action.
