We’ve got a lot of news to share with you, so let’s get down to it.

mortalkombatagain

Starting with the Mortal Kombat side of things, it seems that Ed Boon and Midway aren’t going to call it quits after Vs. DC Universe, because another Mortal Kombat is on the way. It’s unclear whether this will be a new standalone MK title or if it will some other crossover. Optimus Prime vs. Sub-Zero, anyone?

If you’ve been playing Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, you may have noticed some strange glitches when you go online. The music might cut out. Someone may retain an electric aura after being shocked by Blanka. You could face connection problems. Capcom is well aware of these issues and they’re working on a patch. Unfortunately, this does not fix the super cheap Guile sonicboom-kick-throw combination.

Keeping with SSFIITHDR, EventHubs has an extensive strategy guide for every character. Note that some of the “strategies” described can be interpreted as being pretty cheap, so you may want to exercise some caution for risk of getting out-cheaped online.

The above video shows some of the alternate costumes that you’ll find in Street Fighter IV, which will be released next month on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Unlike the simple color variants that we already know about, these are actually new costumes altogether. Check out Blanka in his safari gear.

It’s probably going to suck, but I’m going to watch it anyway. Here’s another Street Fighter movie trailer. They should have never cast Kristen Kreuk as Chun-Li.

Rounding out the video game news, we’ve got Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus enroute to the PS2, Wii and PSP, the announcement of Punch-Out on the Wii for the first half of this year, and the first look at TMNT: Smash-Up, a Ninja Turtle fighter developed by the same guys that brought us Smash Bros.

Cheers and happy battling.
