Ready 2 Rumble Revolution
Do boxing games fall under the umbrella of fighting games? I think in the case of the comical pugilism displayed in the Ready 2 Rumble franchise, we can lean toward the side of yes. Games like Tekken and Street Fighter may be daunting for novices, but the upcoming Ready 2 Rumble Revolution for the Nintendo Wii is designed to be pick-up-and-play for just about every member of the family. This is the third entry in the “knockout punch” franchise and the first time it’s been offered on the Wii. Not surprisingly, Aki and Atari take full advantage of the Wii’s motion controls. I bet this will be a good selling game. The boxing game on Wii Sports is fun but isn’t that deep of a game. I don’t think fans want a very deep game like Fight Night for the Wii but this game and the upcoming Punch Out game will be really fun.
