Every Mortal Kombat X Fatality and X-Ray Move

Mortal Kombat X Fatality

If there was any doubt in your mind about the level of brutality to be enjoyed in Mortal Kombat X, you can rest easy. Or rather, you might not rest at all after seeing the glorious bloody gore on display with all of the fatalities and X-ray moves known and shown so far in the upcoming fighting game. Oh yeah. It’s so over the top, it’s freakin’ awesome.

Mortal Kombat X launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on April 14 with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to follow on June 30.

Who Else Should Be in Mortal Kombat X?

Kenshi FTW

At E3 2014 in Los Angeles last week, NetherRealm Studios and Ed Boon dropped the bomb on us with the unveiling of Mortal Kombat X. Given the commercial success of Mortal Kombat 9, it’s not exactly a surprise that they’re back for another installment in this ultra-gory fighting game and this new version is looking pretty sweet. The multiple versions of each fighter can make for some interesting matchups and the stamina meter adds a new dynamic. The fatalities are looking pretty badass too.

We’ve already got new characters — D’Vorah strangely reminds me of Killer Instinct’s Sadira, Ferra/Torr is pretty the same as Master Blaster from Mad Max, and Kotal Kahn looks like he belongs in War Gods for the N64 — but there are still plenty of roster spots still open.

Sub-Zero and Scorpion are back, of course, but what other old kombatants are going to return? We have Cassie Cage, daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, so does that mean mommy and daddy are present or absent? What about the whole cyber-ninja thing with Sektor and Cyrax? Or some four-armed madness with Kintaro and Goro? Well, SRK has put together a poll for our wishlist of Mortal Kombat X characters.

As of this writing, with just under 4000 votes cast so far, the most popular choices include Ermac, Frost, Fujin, Noob Saibot, Reptile, Smoke and my man Kenshi. Who do you want to see?

In the meantime, here’s a video compilation with a bunch of fatalities and X-ray moves, followed by a gameplay demo from E3. Mortal Kombat X runs on Unreal Engine 3 and will launch on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One some time next year.

What Happens in Every Fighting Game

Freddie Wong and Brandon Laatsch are back with another awesome video this week, paying homage to the fighting game genre. I think we can all identify with this… Wait, what are the buttons again?
